Biman sees US hand in CPM cadres killings

CPM state secretary Biman Bose on Saturday blamed the American hand for the killing of party workers,saying the US was supplying money to the Trinamool Congress.

America is supplying money to the Trinamool with which they (Trinamool) are hiring killers to kill our people, Bose said at a memorial for two party cadres killed recently in clashes with Trinamool supporters in Canning.

The Trinamool was quick to react. Who funded them (CPM) to kill our supporters. At least 50 Trinamool supporters were killed in poll violence recently, said Sobhandeb Chatterjee,a senior Trinamool leader.

This is not the first time that Bose has raised the bogey of America for his partys plight. Before the Lok Sabha polls,he had hurled a similar charge against the US,which was not followed with any evidence or document.

During the Nandigram resistance movement,the CPM had campaigned that foreign hands are active against it in Nandigram,while Bose had blamed some multinational companies behind the Singur agitation led by Mamata Banerjee.
