Jimmy Shergill is brand ambassador of PPL

Actor Jimmy Shergill has been chosen as the brand ambassador of Punjab Premier League(PPL) by the organisers. This was announced at a press conference on Sunday. Jimmy told mediapersons that he was honoured to be associated with this league,as it would act as a platform for many budding cricketers who otherwise fail to get an opportunity. A total of eight teams from Punjab are being selected and trials have been conducted by PPL these days in different cities of the state.“I will be doing one Punjabi movie every year so that I can be close to my land and culture,” said Jimmy who later went to Jalandhar for the premiere of his latest Punjabi movie,Dharti.

The organisers of PPL however did not disclose the number of corporate organisations that have come forward to buy the teams. The league is supposed to be held in the last week of October in PAU grounds.
