As the state is all set to host the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit between January 10 and January 12, banners and posters of the event are prominently visible not just on the roads leading to Gandhinagar but also on the social media profiles of several government employees and WhatsApp groups.

Talking about this, a government employee who is using the VGGS logo as his display picture on WhatsApp, said, “We have done that after the Chief Minister appealed to all the people on social media to keep a profile picture of Vibrant Gujarat.”

The CM had made an appeal on social media on January 2.

Miyan Hussain, Sarpanch of Kutch’s Dhordo village that hosts the annual Rann Utsav, has said villagers were considering migration before the place became a tourist destination. But now, he added, that the whole world comes to the village due to the White Rann and the Rann Utsav.

Hussain shared this, as per an official release on Friday, with Governor Acharya Devvrat who is on a visit to Dhordo along with his wife. Hussain also informed the Governor about how the region has gradually emerged as a major center attracting world travellers, the release said.
