Youth power at play

Astha Bhatia,a Psychology student from Daulat Ram College,who was among the many gathered outside Chhatrasal Stadium,found a unique way to show support for the cause of removing corruption.

Astha Bhatia,a Psychology (Hons) student from Daulat Ram College,who was among the many gathered outside Chhatrasal Stadium,found a unique way to show support for the cause of removing corruption. She picked up the rubbish strewn in the area and dumped it in the only garbage can in the area.

“Anna wants to rid our country of corruption. He would not have wanted us to be causing the filth,” Bhatia said.

Hundreds of protesters had gathered outside the stadium by 1 pm. Many were students of Delhi University.

“I came with nearly a 100 people from my state and we will not leave until the demand for the original Jan Lokpal Bill is met,” said Suman Kumar Jha,who had come from Jharkhand.

Incidentally,Jha is preparing for the civil service exam. “I want to clean up the system before I get into it,” he said. Students from Benaras Hindu University and Aligarh Muslim University were also among the protesters.
