Yamuna water-level rose to 203.62 metres on Thursday.

Yamuna water-level rose to 203.62 metres on Thursday. The river was just short of the warning level — 204 metres. While the Delhi government said the level could rise in the next few days days,no alert has been sounded as yet. Water level has risen steadily following sporadic showers and release of water from Haryana.

Irrigation and Flood Control chief engineer V P S Tomar said,“Water-level will rise till Friday. The normal level for this time of the year is around 202.3 metres.” Officials said a flood warning will not be necessary.
