A 22-year-old woman sustained injuries after an Uber cab driver sped away with her belongings while she was getting off the vehicle following an argument over change in destination in North Delhi’s Civil Lines, officers said Friday.

DCP (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi said that the Uber driver, Pawan (32) has been arrested. He said that the incident took place around 4 pm on Wednesday when the victim booked the vehicle through the ride-hailing app from Majnu Ka Tilla to Ashok Vihar.

“The woman received a call after she boarded the cab after which she changed her drop location to Dilshad Garden,” the DCP said.

Police said that this led to an argument between the driver and the victim as the driver wanted her to cancel the ride, get off his vehicle and board another one, but the woman refused to get off the vehicle.
