Fifteen years ago,three friends came together to form a music composer trio. Though it took them close to three years before they could bag their first film,the journey has been smooth,in fact rather elating,for Shankar Mahadevan,Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa (also known as SEL). They started their career with Dus and Mission Kashmir. But it’s their first smash hit,Dil Chahta Hai (2001),that established the trio as a dependable name in Bollywood. The three have been colleagues ever since. And it is to celebrate this 15-year-long union that SEL will be organising a concert in Mumbai soon. There,they will dish out some of their biggest hits from films like Kal Ho Naa Ho,Taare Zameen Par,Rock On,Wake Up Sid as well as their latest,Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. We just hope their latest doesn’t sound like a mish-mash of their previous albums.

Even though Lakme has always had some of the biggest models to represent their lines of products from—Indrani Dasgupta,Lisa Haydon,Amrit Maghera among others—rarely have they had an actress do so. But the popular cosmetics brand has made an exception for who else but Kareena Kapoor. The Bollywood diva has pulled off another feat and will now represent Lakme’s Absolute,a range of long-wear products,further upping her brand value.
