Humming hero

AFTER the mixed reception for singers like Sonu Niigaam and Himesh Reshamiya as heroes in the past,we have a new contender. Sukhwinder Singh has decided to make his debut in a film titled Khudi Ko Kar Buland Itna. The film deals with the current socio political scenario and Singh was initially called to just sing the songs. But after director Jagbir Dahiya saw his emotions in the song,he requested him to play the lead as well. We wish him all the best and hope he doesn’t end up in the same place as the others who have left good singing careers for the limelight.

Name game

THE name Prem is synonymous with Salman Khan,but director Rajkumar Santoshi doesn’t think so. He has decided to give this name to Ranbir Kapoor for his next film,Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani. Santoshi’s last film,which had a Prem,was the super-hit Andaaz Apna Apna and it looks like Santoshi thinks the name will be lucky for this film too. “The Prem in Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani is not as comical as my last Prem since the story is more romantic. Ranbir has done full justice to the name Prem,” says the director about the much awaited film.
