Two held for killing trader

Police arrested two persons from a garment factory in Lado Sarai on Wednesday evening for allegedly killing a Gandhi Nagar businessman last month. Police recovered the victim’s mobile phone from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off that one of the accused was working near IGNOU Study Centre in Lado Sarai,police increased surveillance in the area and arrested the accused from a garment factory in the locality around 6.15 pm.

Police said Rasidul Mian and Bashir Ansari had murdered the businessman,identified as Sheikh Sattar. During questioning,the duo said they had collaborated with one Zahir Sheikh to rob Sattar,who was his landlord. They had allegedly killed Sattar when he resisted.
