Two held for kidnapping law student

Two men have been arrested for kidnapping a 22-year-old LLB student,stealing his car and attempting to kill him.

Two men have been arrested for kidnapping a 22-year-old LLB student,stealing his car and attempting to kill him. The two have been identified as Puneet and Jaisingh of Samastipur in Bihar.

“He befriended the two men recently. The duo drugged Arun put him in his Hyundai Verna and drove away. They strangled him with the wire of a mobile phone charger,put him in a sewer and covered it with slabs. They left him for dead,” said a police officer.

Police said Lallian regained consciousness three hours later. “He was too weak to move,but began screaming soon. He was pulled out on Wednesday. He was taken home,after which his father,advocate Lalit Kumar Lallian,called police.”

Meanwhile,Puneet and Jaisingh called up Lallian’s father and demanded Rs 50 lakh for his release. “We were intimated about the call and used it to trace the two. They were arrested on Saturday,” police said.
