Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chhaya Sharma also confirmed that security has been provided to Tal and Alon Yehoshua and their three children, living on the first floor of a three-storey building in Anand Niketan.

Commending the role of the Indian authorities post-blast,David Goldfarb, spokesperson of the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, said,“The Prime Minister had made a clear statement about Iran’s involvement in the attack. The terror proxy of the Iranian government has attempted to target Israelis before as well, but failed. Unfortunately, they succeeded on Monday and an Israeli diplomat was injured,” Goldfarb said.

The Yehoshua house has been locked since Tuesday morning and their landlords, living on the ground floor, refused to comment on the attack.

Speaking to Newsline, the guard of the building Sunil Kumar said the Yehoshua family had been living in Anand Niketan for almost two years now. “Sahab used to leave home every day at 8 am in the Innova car to drop the children to school. Sometimes,he used to return home after that, but mostly,he used to go to his office straight from there,” Sunil said.
