Student killed after car rams into divider, falls off flyover in Gurgaon

A 22-year-old student was killed and two others injured after their car hit the divider on Jharsa Chowk flyover and fell on the road below, said police.

The deceased — Rishabh Guleria, a native of Himachal Pradesh — lived with his family in Gurgaon Sector 17, and studied in Sohna’s K R Mangalam University. Police said that the injured persons have been identified as Naman (18) and Kamal Sehrawat (23).

Inquest proceedings have been initiated under Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) 174, said police. ASI Surender, the investigating officer, said that they reached the accident site at 10 pm after being informed about the incident, and took the three victims to Medanta Hospital. “Guleria died at 5 am, while undergoing treatment,” said Surender.

The two injured men are now stable and undergoing treatment, police said, adding that Guleria’s body was handed over to his family at 2 pm on Tuesday, following a post-mortem.Gurgaons
