The incident happened around 2 am on Sunday near the Andrews Ganj underpass on the Ring Road. The Tata 407 tempo was parked at the end of underpass,as some workers were removing garbage from the roadside, when the Volkswagen coming from Dhaula Kuan side rammed into it from behind, the police said.

One of them reportedly called a friend who soon reached the spot and too them away in a Scorpio. The police reached the spot only after this, though the Defence Colony police station is just across the road.
