A mysterious employer gets three kidnappers to capture media mogul Diana Forbes O’Brien. But the ruthless magnate proves to be far more resourceful and competent than her clumsy abductors. Is the kidnapped Diana really the Diana Forbes O’ Brien? Who is the mysterious employer? In the picture is also a gun-toting priest,a crazy alter boy,a pyromaniac and a kidnapper hiding in the fridge. What follows is a laughter riot,a critique of society and some food for thought. Yatrik Theater in collaboration with Instituto Italiano Di Cultura and Old World Culture,presents Dario Fo’s Abducting Diana,adapted to English by Stephan Stennings. Fo is known for his satirical plays such as the Accidental Death of an Anarchist,Mistero Buff and Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay!. An improviser,the Italian playwright’s plays are famous for the absence of the fourth wall and audience involvement in performances. Avijit Dutt,has directed the play and will act in it too.
