IPL’s Season 6 is in fully swing.

IPL’s Season 6 is in fully swing. As the final play-offs draw near,the action is no longer just restricted to the stadium. The teams are pulling all stops to be seen and heard. Leading the way are the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Team RR has joined hands with Indiehaat Ventures,an organisation that aims to revive Indian handicrafts for domestic and global audiences to promote products made by Rajasthani artisans with an exclusive line called “The Royal Collection”. The collection will represent the handiwork of artisans in kantha embroidery,patchwork and Sanganeri prints. The line will be launched with 25 designs in ethnic Rajasthani furniture and 25 designs in accessories such as bags,cushions,laptop covers and stoles. “The endeavour is different and will provide a platform to local artisans,” said Raghu Iyer,CEO,RR. The line will be available on thechorbazar.com.

For Chris Gayle fans,UK-based Figuractive has rolled out a “Cricket Stars” range in India,which offers miniature versions of popular IPL personalities. Priced at Rs 169 for two-inch collectables,it includes popular cricketers such as Gautam Gambhir (Kolkata Knight Riders),and Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore). “With the Cricket Stars range and contest,we want to encourage the trend of collectables,” said Rikesh Raja,Director,Figuractive. The figurines are available at leading stores across India.
