A 31-year-old security guard of a dhaba owner was shot at in Peeragarhi area in West Delhi on Thursday. The assailants also snatched his licensed revolver. The victim,Durvesh Yadav,told his relatives that two of the attackers were customers of the dhaba and he could recognise them. According to the police,the attack was an outcome of an earlier fight at the shop between the guard and some customers. Yadav said he had gone to the shop,Amritsari Kulche,around 8 am and there five men attacked him and snatched his revolver. The police said Yadav was shot in his leg. The police that there had been a scuffle between the security guard and some customers,who attacked him for revenge. Five of them beat him on Thursday morning. He had a licensed revolver and when he tried to take it out,they shot him in the leg,snatched his revolver and ran away, a senior police officer said. He (Yadav) has been working there for more than 5 years now,and this news came as a shock to us. His wife and children are shocked, Yadavs brother-in-law,Dharamveer Singh said. Yadav has two children. A case of attempt to murder has been lodged against the accused in the Paschim Vihar police station.
