Amity School among top 20 in survey by tech magazine
Amity International School,Noida,was shortlisted in the top 20 schools of the country to be felicitated by Engineering Watch School Summit,2013,held at SCOPE Convention Centre on May 21. Engineering Watch,a prestigious magazine dedicated to the Engineering community,had conducted a survey on STEM education,future readiness,value centricity amongst schools in India. Over 9000 schools participated in the survey,of which 20 were shortlisted.
Award ceremony held at GD Goenka,Dwarka
An Award ceremony was hosted by GD Goenka Public School,Dwarka. The ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Philip Bernard,the Australian Deputy High Commissioner. Two Australian science films,Australia The Time Travellers Guide and The Future Makers were screened. The students participated in an online quiz. During the festival,two Goenkans also participated in a culinary competition judged by the hosts of Master Chef Australia and one of them secured the first position in his group. The ceremony concluded with tree plantation.
DPS,RK Puram,conducts workshop on teaching
Delhi Public School,RK Puram,organised a Workshop on the Updation of Teaching Methodology in Business Studies on May 18. Over 50 teachers from various schools in Delhi-NCR attended it. The speakers were Principal of PGDAV College Dr M M Goyal,Education Officer of CBSE Sandeep Sethi,Associate Professor of Commerce at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College Dr Anand Saxena,and Director of Abhay Capital Services Pvt Ltd and Ravi Rajan & Company Pvt Ltd Bhuvana Ravi.
Technology fest at Amity International,Gurgaon
Amity International School,Sector-43,Gurgaon,held its annual IT extravaganza Cyber Buzz 2013. Nearly 350 students from 22 schools of Delhi-NCR participated in the event. The young technocrats exhibited their skills in eleven events. DPS,RK Puram,was adjudged the best team and the runners up were DPS,Vasant Kunj.
Mock UN session at Bal Bharati,Pitampura
A mock session of the Model United Nations was organised in Bal Bharati Public School,Pitampura. The mock session simulated the General Assembly of the UN The agenda for the session was Situation in the Middle East and Africa. Thirty-five students from Class XI represented various countries like Afghanistan,Algeria,Brazil,Canada,China,Columbia,Egypt,Israel,Japan,Russia,Sweden,South Africa,Pakistan and Iraq.
CCE workshop conducted at Hillwoods Academy
A Two-day CBSE workshop on capacity building programme was conducted by P Vishwas to guide and familiarise the teachers about Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation. Innovative evaluation methods were thoroughly explained to all the teacher trainees. Vishwas urged teachers to encourage students to excel.
