Probe ordered into Noida trader’s abduction

The district court has ordered a probe into the abduction of Pramod Chauhan,a cloth businessman,which occurred in December last year.

The district court has ordered a probe into the abduction of Pramod Chauhan,a cloth businessman,which occurred in December last year.

The order came after one of the alleged abductors,Amit Sharma,claimed in court that Chauhan was trying to frame him.

Sharma’s petition alleged that the incident occurred when one Joginder told Sharma and two of his friends to recover money that Chauhan owed him. “When we reached his place and asked for the money,Chauhan and his brother Ashok opened fire on us,” he alleged.

While Joginder was killed,Sharma had to admitted to Kailash Hospital. “Ashok and Pramod falsely implicated us,” the petitioner added.

Station Officer Girish Kumar said: “We are probing further,and will submit a report before the court.” Pramod Chauhan said he would challenge the district court order.
