Praise for CWG preparations

Bangladesh Olympic Association President General Md Abdul Mubeen is impressed by Delhi’s preparations for the Commonwealth Games and hopes that mega event will be a “resounding success”,the organisers said today. Mubeen,also the Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff,today met Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi at the Games headquarters here where he was briefed about the preparations for the October 3-14 event.

“Shera is on track,I am truly impressed,” Muben said. “I am sure the entire gamut of preparation and arrangements shall reach a grand finale and resounding success,” he said in a statement,issued by OC. Kalmadi said that hosting the 19th Commonwealth Games will provide a great learning experience not just to India but to the whole sub-continent. “With improved sporting infrastructure,Delhi 2010 will be a big boost for the development of sports in India as well as her neighbours,” he said.
