Multiple colleges in Delhi receive bomb threat emails

Multiple colleges in Delhi, including Lady Sri Ram College, Hansraj College, Ramjas College,  Sri Venkateswara College, and IP College, received bomb threat via email on Thursday, the Delhi Police said. Calling it a hoax, the police asked people not to panic.

According to PTI, Delhi Fire Service (DFS) first got a call at 4.38 pm about the threat at the LSR College and two fire tenders were rushed to service. Later, other colleges also called up the authorities.

The local police, a bomb detection team, and a bomb disposal squad reached the LSR College along with a dog squad. They conducted searches but nothing suspicious could be found.

LSR Principal Suman Sharma said the entire campus has been sanitised.
