Missing 4-year-old found dead,suspect surrenders

Vikas’s sister Kajal was found hanging from the ceiling fan by her mother Poonam.

Police said,“Ramesh worked in the same factory as Poonam and lived in a house above her’s. He used to drink regularly and beat up his wife,who would often come to stay with Poonam. A week ago,Ramesh’s wife left him and he blamed Poonam for this. In an act of vengeance,he killed Kajal and kidnapped Vikas.”

Yogesh Singh,Superintendent of Police (City-Noida),said,“This seems to be a very brutal murder. The child was strangulated and his body bears marks of repeated beatings. After he was killed,it seems his body was dipped in some liquid to decompose it beyond recognition.

“We still don’t know why he surrendered.”
