Kanda,Aruna denied bail

Former Haryana Minister Gopal Goyal Kanda has been denied bail by a city court on Friday in a 14-year-old cheque bounce case. Kanda and his brother Govind have allegedly been evading court proceedings. They were declared proclaimed offenders and the court had ordered action under Section 174 of the CrPC as they had failed to appear before the court despite repeated summons being issued to them. Aruna Chaddha,Kanda’s co-accused in the Geetika suicide case,on Friday moved an bail plea before the court of District and Additional Sessions Judge S K Sarvaria. The matter will be heard on Monday.
