IGI power snaps,plane damaged

An American Airlines plane suffered minor damage at the Indira Gandhi International Airport late on Thursday night after power supply at the international terminal,T2,was briefly interrupted.

An American Airlines plane suffered minor damage at the Indira Gandhi International Airport late on Thursday night after power supply at the international terminal,T2,was briefly interrupted. The incident reportedly occurred at Bay 42,when the aerobridge attached to American Airlines Flight 292/293 to Chicago accidentally touched the aircraft’s boarding gate. The aircraft had to be grounded after that. After the main power supply to Terminal 2 was interrupted,backup systems were started and power was restored within 20 seconds. DIAL officials said though no one was injured,it decided to cancel the flight and get the aircraft inspected for safety reasons.
