Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav Friday gave instructions to constitute five special monitoring teams to strictly deal with illegal mining activities in the district.

Following a meeting in this regard, Yadav told The Indian Express that they also reviewed recent incidents of illegal mining and attacks against government staff. “Six such cases have been dealt with and the probe in one of the cases is underway,” he said.

The DC said police are focusing on five areas to crack down on the illegal activities. “Five teams will be constituted to zero in on the activities in areas under Sohna police station, Bhondsi police station, Farrukhnagar police station, Pataudi, and a parking spot in Pachgaon,” he said.
