Police Thursday said four of the accused were arrested.
According to a complaint by mining inspector Bhanupratap Singh, at 4.18 pm on Wednesday, after receiving information on illegal mining of soil in Sancholi village, a team of the Office of Mines and Geology Department raided the area with four mining guards.
“As soon as the inspection team started moving the earthmover away, 10-12 people on bikes reached the area and picked a fight with the employees. They took the earthmover away and damaged the front glass of the government vehicle. Government employees have also suffered injuries during the fight,” said the complaint.
The inspector sought to file an FIR against the accused for obstructing government work, assaulting employees and damaging vehicles. Sohna police station has registered a case under IPC sections 147, 149, 186, 332, 353, 427 against the four accused — Rafiq, Shahrukh, Ikram and Irfan.
