Gurgaon gets first private fire station

Another fire station has been added to Gurgaon city,the first private facility,which also has highest hydraulic platforms in the city.

Another fire station has been added to Gurgaon city,the first private facility,which also has highest hydraulic platforms in the city.

Real estate company DLF launched the fire station at Cyber City on Saturday.

The high hydraulic platforms — one at 90 metres and a second at 60 metres — will be of help during emergency situations in Gurgaon’s high-rises.

The equipment was imported from Finland,an official said. Around 30 firemen and two fire tenders will be at the station.

The hydraulic platforms at DLF fire station are capable of carrying a load of 400 kg and rotate at a 360-degree angle,an official said.

“DLF buildings have fixed fire protection systems. In fact,fire safety audits are conducted regularly,” said Amit Grover,National Director,DLF Offices

The company will maintain all systems and equipment at its own cost.

“This move is in line with DLF’s philosophy that the life of our residents and those working in DLF premises are our priority,” said S K Dheri,Head of Fire Safety,DLF.
