A humungous 44,000 sq ft area has a small “putting green” where you can practise your shots on faux grass,a restaurant and lounge,a space for hosting corporate meetings and a shop stocked with golf apparel and accessories. But the simulator is what swings this place for us.

A golf novice can choose one of the two beginner-level programmes and the instructor will brief one on the grip and swing,followed by demonstrations on simulators. “We teach students the basics of golf on one of the nine practice ranges,which have different difficulty levels. After a shot,a video recording will replay it,which will help in analysing one’s swing. Once the students have grasped the technique,we allow them to choose a golf course,” says R Prithviraj,a golf instructor certified by the Indian National Golf Academy.

The beginner’s courses range from Rs 2,400 for four classes of 30 minutes each to Rs 5,000 for six sessions. If you don’t want to enrol for a course and just want to have some putting fun,you can use a simulator for Rs 500 for an hour. There is even a caddie to help you out.

For professionals,six sessions come for Rs 6,500. “Professionals can finish an entire game in 90 minutes instead of spending three hours on a real course,” says Prithviraj. So,if fake grass doesn’t turn you off,this could be the place to putt.
