Friends,indeed

The Bachchan family,known to invite “only close friends and family” to their functions,had a rather generous guest list for Jaya Bachchan’s birthday party on Thursday night at their bungalow Jalsa. Jaya,who started work on director Revathy Sharma’s new film alongside Ayesha Takia and Raveena Tandon,was back in time for the evening party. Guests started pouring in shortly thereafter,including Karan Johar,Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra,good friends Anupam,Kirron and Sikandar Kher,Riteish Deshmukh and Ila Arun. And,yes,Anil Ambani came too and so did Ajitabh Bachchan. Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia was seen walking in with a bouquet of roses. Amar Singh was uncharacteristically MIA. Must have been planning his next salvo against Azam Khan.
