Driver arrested for molesting 9-year-old British girl in Gurgaon

Police said the girl told her mother that the driver used to adjust the rear-view mirror of their car to stare at her initially. Though she asked him to behave himself many times,he kept doing this,police said.

About three weeks ago,he allegedly began fondling her. Though she tried resisting these attempts,the driver asked her not to disclose anything to her parents.

“According to the complaint,two days ago,she was in the front seat and he began fondling her again on the way to school. The girl returned home crying and told her mother about what happened,” a police officer said. When the mother confronted the driver,he fled their home,police said.

Gurgaon police commissioner Alok Mittal said,“The accused had molested her at least thrice in the past three weeks. Her father resides overseas. The driver has been arrested under relevant sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act. He was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.”
