Dr Rajendra Prasad Road to be closed for work on Metro

The Dr Rajendra Prasad Road will remain temporarily closed for around three months due to construction work on the Delhi Metro’s Central Secretariat-Badarpur corridor.

The Dr Rajendra Prasad Road will remain temporarily closed for around three months due to construction work on the Delhi Metro’s Central Secretariat-Badarpur corridor. Raisina Road,which was closed till now,will be reopened.

The road has been closed near the Krishi Bhawan roundabout and gate no. 2 of the Central Secretariat Metro Station. The bus stop on Dr Rajendra Prasad Road can be used as usual.

“The road has been closed to facilitate construction,excavation and tunnelling work for the existing Central Secretariat Metro Station,which is a part of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur corridor,” Anuj Dayal,DMRC spokesperson,said.

“The diversion has also been put in place to minimise inconvenience caused to the general public who use this stretch,” he said.

The Traffic Diversion Plan has been approved by the Delhi Police. Adequate traffic marshals have been deployed in the area for public assistance.
