DPS principal pens book on parenting

Former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam presided over the function held to release the book Effective Parenting by Shyama Chona,principal of Delhi Public School,R K Puram,and founder of the Tamanna School of Hope for differently abled children.

Published by the Ozone group of companies,the book offers personal insights and guidance to parents from the time of conception of the child to the teenage years.

Speaking at the function at Siri Fort auditorium on Sunday,Kalam emphasised the need for creating responsible citizens through effective and responsible parenting.

Parents today have very little time to spend with their children. The most effective parenting technique would be to give a child the attention and love that he or she requires. Failing that,quality time needs to replace quantity of time, Chona said.
