Confidential report sought on illegal constructions

Cracking the whip on illegal constructions,the district administration has asked officials concerned to give a detailed confidential report on the issue in 15 days.

Deputy Commissioner P C Meena said construction of any illegal colony is not possible without the know-how of the patwari concerned. He said there were instances when patwaris did not report illegal colonisation in their area,but now,they can give a confidential report directly to my office or that of the District Revenue Officer.

He said illegal colonisation was a problem not only for the administration but also for the person who purchases plot in such dwelling because they will always be under pressure of demolition.

He advised caution before purchasing any immoveable property,and to verify all records with the administration before entering into any purchase agreement.

Meena said that the verification of standing crops on the fields will be done from March 1,and,during this period,the revenue officials can get their records rectified if there was any mistake.

He said during crop verification,if the patwari felt that there was some discrepancy in change of land,he can send the information to the official concerned.
