Atelier Theatre Repertorys award-winning play Khusar Phusar revolves around a dinner party gone wrong. Adapted from Neil Simons Rumours ,this play has friends gather at a house in an upmarket Delhi neighbourhood. They arrive to find the house empty. There are no servants,the hostess is missing and the host is bleeding from a gun shot. The answer to the question,what to do now? would have been easy,except that the protagonists are rich and have reputations to protect. They decide there should be no police and no media,thus setting the stage for a series of comic episodes. The purpose was to satirise upper-class mannerisms in Delhi, says director Kuljit Singh who won Sahitya Kala Prishas Yuva Natya Samaroh Award 2013.
