Passengers from South,Central and Old Delhi will be able to avail the services of more cluster buses as Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit flagged off 12 buses on Tuesday.

Six buses each will operate on route 403 and 445 under Cluster-2 and will provide connectivity to Metro stations. This will take the total number of cluster buses operating in Delhi to 501.

The orange bus on route 403 will start from Okhla Extension (Abul Fazal Enclave) and ply via Okhla Village,Holy Family Hospital,Ashram Chowk,Nizamuddin Dargah police station,Golf Club,Pragati Maidan Metro station,Delhi Gate,Red Fort and will terminate at Old Delhi railway station. The buses on this route will also provide connectivity to Pragati Maidan Metro station for Blue Line and Chandni Chowk Metro station for Yellow Line.

Buses on route 445 will start from DDA Flats Kalkaji,and proceed towards Tara Apartments,Alaknanda,S-Block GK-II,CR Park Market-1,Desh Bandhu Gupta College,Sant Nagar,Moolchand Hospital,Pant Nagar,Sunder Nagar,Pragati Maidan Metro station,Mandi House,Statesman building and will terminate at New Delhi railway station Gate-II.

It will also provide connectivity with Metro stations at Nehru Place,Moolchand and Lajpat Nagar for Violet Line; Pragati Maidan and Barakhamba Road for Blue Line and New Delhi railway station for Yellow Line.

All Delhi transit buses under Cluster-2 will be parked at Kushak Nallah depot. The depot has a capacity of 232 buses.

The new buses will be operated by the government’s concessionaire for Cluster-2,Indraprastha Logistics Pvt Ltd.
