Ghaziabad: A shop belonging to former Mayor of Ghaziabad D C Garg’s brother was looted on Monday. Police said Rs 12.8 lakh were looted from Ravinder Garg’s steel shop,located in Navyug Market. “A case has been registered,” an officer said.

Online tests for Gurgaon cops’ promotion

New Delhi: The Gurgaon police is conducting an online test for departmental promotions — from the rank of constable to head constable. Haryana is the the first state to hold such online tests,across its 21 districts. Around 4,800 constables are reported to have appeared for a B1 test,after which they will be sent for a six-month training for lower services.
