Man arrested for kidnapping businessman’s son

new delhi: The police on Saturday arrested a person for allegedly kidnapping the 21-year-old son of a businessman and demanding Rs 1 crore in ransom. Alok Jain was abducted on September 13,the police said. The abductor was using Jain’s cellphone to make the ransom calls. “We deployed several teams to nab him,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Ajay Kumar said. Jain was rescued from an address in Krishna Nagar. When police broke open the door,they found him tied to a chair.

Soon,a 200-bed hospital in West Delhi

New Delhi: A 200-bed government hospital will soon come up in Mohan Garden,West Delhi,Health Minister A K Walia said on Sunday. The announcement was made at a Congress rally in Bindapur,where he also laid the foundation of a 100-bed hospital.

AAP candidates for Okhla,Badarpur seats

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday announced its candidates from Okhla and Badarpur Assembly constituencies,taking the total number of candidates to 47 for the Delhi Assembly elections. The Arvind Kejriwal-led party has decided to field Irfan Ullah Khan from Okhla constituency,while social activist Narayan Dutt Sharma would contest from Badarpur Assembly constituency.
