Gurbani leads DGC Open

Gurbani Singh,third on the IGU Ladies Order of Merit,is leading the DGC Open after she hit a two-over 74 for a one-shot lead over Vidushi Sinha (75) at the Delhi Golf Club. Gurbani was three ahead of Millie Saroha (77). Vani Kapoor was unfortunate to be disqualified as she teed off from the wrong tee area. Vani along with Tavleen Batra,Afsan Fathima,Ridhima Dilawari and Sehar Atwal were scratched. Aditi Ashok and Vrinda Yadav shot 78 each and were tied for 4th. Gurbani had four birdies,four bogeys and a double to finish 74.

Vasant Valley win Subroto Cup

The U-17 girls team of Vasant Valley School,Vasant Kunj beat Tagore International School,East of Kailash 1-0 in the first year that girls teams were included at the Subroto Cup inter-school football tournament. The two semi-finals in the U-17 boys category will take place on Wednesday. NCC (West Bengal & Sikkim) will take on NCC (North Eastern Region) and Mynkhen Christian,Meghalaya will face Army Boys,Lucknow.

Ankush hits hundred

Ankush Tyagi hit a century (107) and his knock alongside contributions from Ankit Dadwal (70),Shiva Chauhan 69,Sagar Sehrawat (3/22) and Sourav Sherawat (3/25) helped Choudhary XI beat IPCA by a massive 201 run margin to get four points in the 1st Nirmal Premier League U-14 tournament. Choudhary XI 362 for 4 in 30 overs (Ankush Tyagi 107,Ankit Dadwal 70,Shiva Chouhan 69); IPCA 160 all out in 28 overs (Mayank Kumar 41,Bobby Singh 32,Sourav Sherawat 3/25,Sagar Sehrawat 3/22)
