New Delhi:The alleged kingpin of a multi-level marketing fraud,through which around 250 people were cheated,has been arrested,police said on Tuesday. Amit Kothari,a resident of Paschim Vihar,had started a company in 2010 and invited investors with the promise of returns up to 15 to 20 per cent each month,police said. After collecting nearly Rs 1 crore,Kothari shut the company and fled to Dubai,police said. Kothari was arrested on May 15 from the IGI Airport.

Five arrested in Noida under Arms Act

Noida:Five persons were arrested in Noida on Monday for allegedly firing in the air in an inebriated state. Senior police officers said the men ate and drank at a Noida Sector-16 food stall and later fired in the air. The car and the weapon used have been seized, an officer said.

BJP to start public hearings from June 1

New Delhi:Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel on Tuesday announced that councillors will be holding public hearings,Janata Adalats,starting June 1. Goel asked the BJP members to focus on problems and highlight the achievements of the municipal corporations.
