A man allegedly threw his eight-month-old child onto the highway in a drunken stupor in Indirapuram on Monday night.

GHAZIABAD: A man allegedly threw his eight-month-old child onto the highway in a drunken stupor in Indirapuram on Monday night. Ghaziabad police said Manoj Tiwari (35),who was in an inebriated state,was walking along the highway,carrying his daughter. When the infant started crying,Manoj allegedly threw her on the road.

Passersby,who witnessed the incident,picked up the child but her father insisted that they leave. Finally,the police were called and the father was taken into custody for the night.
