Abhishek Kapoor stroked a classy unbeaten 98 while Nitish Rana took a three wicket haul (3/17) to help LB Shastri Club beat DDA by 8 wickets in the Shiv Naresh Cup Laxman Dass Chhabra Memorial cricket tournament at Bharat Nagar ground.

Sachdeva thrash BBPS

Sachdeva Public School Pitampura thrashed Bal Bharati Public School,Rohini by 49 points to 2 in the 10th Bal Bharati Inter School Sports Meet. Sahil Jindal scored 18 points for the winners. In the girl’s section,hosts Bal Bharati Public School,Pitampura beat the Heritage School 32-08.Surmai Sehgal & Nandini Singh scored 12 points each for the winners. In another one sided match,Montfort School,Ashok Vihar crushed Bal Bharati Public School,Brij Vihar by 30 points to one in the girls section. The only balanced match was between St Xavier’s,Rohini and Bal Bharati School,Ganga Ram. St. Xaviers won 20-19.

CRPF,Rohini draw

After losing their first match,CRPF School,Rohini drew 1-1 with Govt. Sports School,Bangalore,in the Inter-City Leg of the U-14 Mahindra Youth Football Challenge at the Bala Gangadharanatha Swamy International Residential School ground.It was a flying start by Bangalore in the 10th minute as their skipper Santhosh Kumar put their team 1-0 up. Bangalore went into the breather with the same lead. In the second half,Delhi’s CRPF School started strongly,although a couple of chances were missed by Delhi. In the 30th minute Delhi’s Mukesh Kumar equalized the score. In an unfortunate stroke of luck,Delhi’s Maan Singh,beat two defenders,but his shot hit the post and popped out.
