DU teachers’ body told not to obstruct admission process
The Delhi High Court on Monday restrained the Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) from “obstructing” the admission process in the university over its differences with Vice-Chancellor Deepak Pental. But the court order failed in deterring the DUTA,which,in an official release,said its members were not “obstructing” the admission process but only wanted to keep away from it.

3 held for cloning credit cards,cheating banks
The police on Monday arrested three persons of a gang that used credit card information left behind by customers at petrol pumps to clone cards and dupe banks of lakhs of rupees. The police have recovered several cloned credit and debit cards from Kamal Chand (24),Bobby Verma (35) and Vijay Soni (32). The police were acting on a complaint by Standard Chartered Bank that unknown persons were using cloned credit cards to cheat the bank and its customers.

Attend to calls of couple,court tells Delhi Police
The High Court on Monday directed the Delhi Police to take immediate action on any complaint from a couple who are being threatened by the woman’s family. Upset with the woman choosing to marry without their consent,the family is seeking to revenge the ‘disgrace’. Justice S N Dhingra has ordered the investigating officer and the SHO concerned to attend to their complaints urgently whenever called. On Friday,the couple had refused police protection claiming they suspected the police will also side with the woman’s family.
