Six men were arrested in South Delhi,with police on Sunday claiming to have foiled a robbery attempt on a businessman on his way to a bank in Saket to deposit money.

New Delhi: Six men were arrested in South Delhi,with police on Sunday claiming to have foiled a robbery attempt on a businessman on his way to a bank in Saket to deposit money. The accused have been identified as Nadeem (28),Mohammad Ashif (25),Noor Alam (24),Mohd Mukeem (26),Mohd Nasim (27) and Sohaib (22). A loaded countrymade pistol,five knives and a motorcycle have been recovered from them.

Victim didn’t wear helmet,compensation halved

New Delhi: Citing contributory negligence by a motorcycle rider,a city Motor Accident Claims Tribunal has halved the Rs 5 lakh compensation granted to the family of the youth,who died after his motorcycle hit a bus parked in an incorrect manner. The tribunal noted that the victim,Yogesh Kumar (21),was riding at high speed,without a helmet.
