Chief warden,2 staff of Arya Orphanage held

The chief warden of Arya Orphanage in Old Delhi was among three arrested on Saturday in connection with separate cases registered under the Juvenile Justice Act,police said.

Among the three was Navratan,a security guard against whom a case of rape and forced unnatural sex on an 11-year-old girl in 2011,has been registered. The girl later died.

Surinder Singh Chauhan,the chief warden of the orphanage and Ramesh Maurya,a warden of the boy’s hostel,were held on charges of negligence on the part of a person responsible for a juvenile,an officer investigating the cases said.
