Cheema’s allegations baseless,says WFI

Rubbishing former Asian champion Palwinder Singh Cheema’s allegations of foul play in his omission from the Commonwealth Games core group,the Wrestling Federation of India said the grappler’s hey day are long over. WFI President GS Mander,who termed Cheema’s allegation of political conspiracy as “nonsense”,said the grappler has completely lost his form and can’t cry for selection sitting on his past laurels. “Cheema has lost his form and talking nonsense. All the decisions regarding selection were unanimous. He has not won even any local competition for many years,” Mander said.
