Twenty days after the murder of Dhirendra Ishwar, AAP’s Delhi Pradesh Purvanchal Wing Secretary, and questioning 1,000 people, the Delhi Police are yet to make headway in the case, said a source.

“We questioned 300 people at the station and close to 700 people over the phone, but we still don’t have a clear picture of what happened. There hasn’t been any headway on the motive behind the murder,” said a senior officer.

Police said Ishwar’s call detail records did not prvide any leads either. “The last call he made was to his mother. His phone has also not been recovered,” he added.
The 32-year-old AAP worker was hacked to death and his private parts chopped off. His body was found in a field in the early hours of December 29 — barely 100 metres away from his house in Begum Vihar, Outer Delhi.

Family members had said Ishwar shifted to his new house after the death of his 20-day-old son.
