Tickets for the fifth India-Sri Lanka one day international will go on sale from Wednesday,the DDCA announced today. Ten branches of the Union Bank of India will open special ticket counters and three of those — Moti Bagh,Kamala Nagar and Ananda Niketan — would sell students’ tickets as well. The DDCA will also be opening online sale,available at http://www.bookmyseat.in. Other UBI branches selling the tickets include the ones in Nehru Place,Asaf Ali Road,Connaught Place,Karol Bagh,Lajpat Nagar,Pujabi Bagh and Okhla.

Kranti Star,Super Star win
Abhishek Verma scored 61 runs and picked three wickets to help Kranti Star defeat K G Colts by 5 wickets and get four points in the Super Plate DDCA league at the Bharat Nagar ground. In another match Gemini Club defeated Bright Club,Super Star Club beat Delhi Colts by 4 wickets in the DDCA Elite 1 group while Dena Bank won by three wickets against Three Star Club.

Thapa wins gold
Delhi’s powerlifter RBS Thapa won gold in the 155 kg category in the Commonwealth Bench Press Championship held in Pune recently. The 12-time Delhi state champion and four-time national champion also won silver in the 165 kg category.
