The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has selected Delhi’s two sub-junior players for India under-14 Boys Football team for the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) under-14 football festival 2010,which is scheduled to be held in Hamadan City,Iran from May 16 to 23.

Delhi’s Yogesh Kumar and Vikrant Bhatti have represented Delhi state team in AIFF U-14 football festival held recently at Jamshedpur and later on were selected for selection trials-cum-coaching camp which concluded at Goa.

Khatri stars for Delhi Wonders
Sedate batting by Abhishek Khatri,who scored a fifty and Rohit Sharma (46),helped Delhi Wonders to beat RCN by 6 wickets in the DDCA League. Chasing 147 for victory,the Wonders’ romped home with 11 overs to spare. RCN never looked like in contection,as they finished with only 146 on board at the end of their quota of 40 overs.

Big win for Madras Club
JP Singh’s all-round abilities (52 and 3/22) and Ajay Basoya’s three-wicket haul (3/35) helped Madras Club to a thumping six wicket win over Kishan Ganj Gymkhana in a DDCA league match. Madras side had no problems in overhauling the target of 155. They completed the formalities in only 28 overs.

Lohiya scalps four
Times of India faltered against a fine spell of bowling by Siddharth Lohiya,as Young Cricketers completed a huge victory of 88 runs in the DDCA league match. Batting first Young Cricketers put on a huge total of 210 runs,thanks to half-centuries by Amit and Abhishek. TOI were shot out for 122,mainly to the four-wicket haul by Lohiya.

Collage thump GG Dutt
Mukul Dagar slammed an unbeaten ton,after Narinder Singh scalped four wickets as Collage Group thrashed GG Dutt Club by eight wickets. With Singh taking four wickets,GG Dutt side were dismissed for only 173. Later Dagar scored a quick-fire ton to take his side home in the 24th over.

Aryan snares five
Man of the match Aryan Sehrawat’s five for (5/10) and a three-wicket haul by Vidhant Beniwal (3/23) and Sachin Solanki’s 43 helped Sonnet Arawali Academy beat Sanskar Academy,Jaipur by 8 wickets to enter the quarter-final of the Baldev Raj Kala cricket tournament. Sanskar were shot out for a paltry 76,and Sonnet completed the formalities in 19 overs
