The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has sanctioned cash awards of worth Rs 22.57 crore to 286 sportspersons who have won medals for the country in the last year's Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has sanctioned cash awards of worth Rs 22.57 crore to 286 sportspersons who have won medals for the country in the last year’s Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. Under the scheme,gold medallists have been sanctioned cash awards of Rs 20 lakh,silver medallists of Rs 10 lakh and bronze medallists Rs 6 lakh. Medal winners in team events have been given award money,which is not less than 50 per cent of individual award money.

3rd hargopal t20
3rd Hargopal T-20 U-14 boys cricket tournament will be held from Jan 28-31 at Modern School. Players born on or after Jan 1,1997 from government and government aided schools can apply. Last date of submission of entry form will be Jan 20 on a first-come-first-serve basis (no entry fees). DDCA will sponsor/give scholarship to one outstanding player from each team.
