Bailout might be the word of the year but the impact of the economic slowdown could hardly be felt at the launch of the latest BMW 7 series held at Imperial Hotel. Lissome models glided down a ramp wearing designer Suneet Varma’s creations while exotic dancers twirled in between. “We’re happy to be here. BMW has a strong association with India,” said Peter Kronschnabl,President,BMW India. The fashion show began with garments representing the flamboyance of the 30’s and ended with the stark minimalism of clothing today. “The idea is to show changing lifestyles,” said an excited Varma,dressed in a stripped grey dinner jacket. Guests meanwhile,were content to pose and get clicked next to the BMW.
