With the new system to rate Noida police stations in place, personnel seem to be on their toes. Under the new system, police stations will be graded through the Senior Superintendents Office, and found performing poorly will be awarded punishments. Since they run the risk of being suspended if the station they are posted at receives low scores, officers are now hard at work, attempting to solve cases. During an informal interaction,an officer who seemed to oppose the system said,It is like being back in school. I only hope that policemen dont fake arrests… it will be akin to my children forging my signature on their report cards.
Midday treat
other senior councillors, along with the teaching staff, were seen enjoying a midday meal with the students. The puris were fresh and very tasty and so was rajma rice and chhole.

News with disclaimer
A poster splashed across the Saket district court reads Patrakari aur lekhani ek pesha ban chuka hai (journalism and writing has been reduced to a trade). The poster reflects the spirit of an infamous media-hating man who frequents the court premises on days when certain judgments highlighted by the media are delivered. He comes with a placard bearing slogans such as,Do not believe the media and Media people are liars… and shadows the TV anchors. Every time news is telecast live from the court premises, the anchor reads his piece before the camera, while in the background, the media-hater warns the audience to not believe the news.

At a recent ASSOCHAM event in the capital,Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was invited to release a report on street children in the countrys metropolitan cities. We told him that even if he escaped that day,the gangsters would come back for
him. Finally,he agreed to help, an officer said.

Majority rules, he said and declared Monday the winner.
In-house war
With the elections for Delhi University Teachers Association approaching, various teachers organisations have started competing with each other. Last week, they were seen playing the saviour to ad-hoc teachers by holding demonstrations on their behalf. While inviting the media to cover the protest, one teacher asked,You are filing the story under my name, right? At the same time,a teacher from another group tried steal the lime light. Praising their lead, the teacher said,He has been raising this issue with the university for quite some time. Where were the others earlier?
